- The personal characteristics of the applicant are professionalism, and their ability to do the job. Consider their current role, skills and previous work experience in Australia or overseas;
- The applicant’s proficiency in English is appropriate for the role he/she wishes to undertake (although there is no compulsory English test, a basic understanding of English is required if they wish to work in Australia).
Visa Duration
The length of the temporary activity visa depends on the activity approved:
- For invited participants and activities sponsored by the Australian Government, the visa is valid for up to 4 years.
- For other industries, the visa can last up to 2 years.
