Temporary Work (Short Stay Specialist) (subclass 400)
The Short Stay Activity Visa 400 is a temporary visa that allows individuals engaged in a specific activity to stay in Australia for up to three months, subject to the following:
- They engage in highly specialized, permanent temporary projects
- Participation in a special circumstance in an activity or activities that serve the interests of Australia
Applicants must apply from outside Australia and can also be overseas when the visa is issued.

Visa Usage Limits and Regulations
Complete all work or projects within six months
- If your visa expires, you should not stay in Australia
- Do not undertake any teaching or training programs while on this visa
