Health Screening Requirements
Health checks required for visa applicants can vary, depending on the activities they wish to undertake in Australia, the applicant’s country of origin and where they have lived in the last five years.
This requirement applies to the primary visa applicant and any family member included in the application, regardless of their immigration status.
Health check findings are valid for up to 12 months.
Character Criteria
You must present a police certificate stating that you have not committed any crime in the last 10 years.
When you turn 16, you need a police identification card from any country you have been in for at least 12 months in the last ten years.
Requirements for English Language Proficiency
Papers for the registered English language test are required.
- Overall score of 50 on the Pearson Test of English (PTE) with no less than 36 in each section.
- In the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), a composite group of 6 people, with a minimum of 5 people per section.
- An equal score on the TOEFL iBT, OET, or CAE will be considered eligible.
